The Martin D-28, the most famous model of Martin and a representative of acoustic guitars, has arrived in stock! This particular instrument is from 1977, a standard model that has received tremendous support from world-renowned musicians.

While the specifications of the "D-28" vary slightly depending on the year, this one features the square rod structure and non-scalloped bracing typical of the late 1970s. It is characterized by Martin's powerful bass and well-balanced harmonic resonance.

Constructed with a spruce top and rosewood sides and back. The D-28 from this period features larger dot position inlays and Grover pegs. The D-28 sound, created from the finest tonewoods by skilled craftsmen, is exceptional.

The neck has a somewhat narrow nut width of 42.9mm, referred to as "narrow," with a soft V-shape. The current neck is straight.

Rich harmonic overtones, characteristic bright resonance, and dry tone are perfect descriptions, with an overall impression of excellent clarity. The characteristic Martin tone creates an exquisite soundscape. Our repair technician has crowned the frets, adjusted the saddle and nut, and completed the setup. While the string action is slightly higher than standard, the comfort of chord strokes in lower positions is superb.

Besides minor wear near the sound hole, the top has small scratches and dings, but these present no particular issues. Both sides of the body have numerous spot-like stains. Upon inspection, there is nothing tactile, so the cause is unknown; however, there is no impact on playability or tone. If the appearance is a concern, please refrain from purchasing. Given the price reduction, with guaranteed tone and playability, this is a recommended option for those looking to acquire a D-28 from this period at an affordable price.
